At Summerhill Timbers, we believe New Zealand’s unique environment should shape its buildings, and it begins with the materials we build from.

We’re a family-owned business, three generations strong, based on Summerhill Farm in the Papamoa Hills, Bay of Plenty. For over 45 years, we’ve been growing hardwoods and softwoods on steep slopes, with a vision to supply New Zealand’s best architecture with locally grown timbers.

The land we grow on has been gifted to the nation, with public access via walking and cycling trails that offer space to unwind and reconnect with the environment. It’s our connection to the land and forest that inspires the work we do.
