Summerhill Timbers brings your design vision to life with beautiful timbers grown right here in the Papamoa Hills, Bay of Plenty.

Locally grown timber has long played a part in New Zealand's architecture and design. For the last 45 years, Summerhill has been planting and nurturing specialty hardwood and softwood FSC-managed forests across the Papamoa Hills.

Trees are hand-selected and milled without further treatment, preserving their natural colour, strength and character.

We mill premium-quality New Zealand-grown specialty timbers from our FSC-managed forests. Our timber is the natural choice for builders and architects who value sustainability and character.

We carefully dry and store our timbers, supplementing with selective summer harvests to bring new projects to life. Each timber has a unique colour and grain texture shaped by our coastal climate. We provide a sustainable local alternative to imported timber or composite materials. 

We supply three main timber species and offer straightforward, flexible solutions for creating standout timber features — whether you're after solid beams, custom flooring, wall linings, or bespoke features.
