Locally grown timber has long played a part in New Zealand's architecture and built heritage. Summerhill has spent the last 45 years planting and nurturing specialty hardwood and softwood forests in the Papamoa Hills, all FSC-managed.

Trees are hand-selected and milled without further treatment, keeping their full natural colour, strength and character intact.
